ERIC JAIKES

An attorney for over 30 years, Attorney Jaikes received his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania with honors in political science and his law degree from Emory University.  Attorney Jaikes is licensed to practice in the United States District Court for Massachusetts, the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court, the Massachusetts Court of Appeals, Superior, District and Housing Courts in Massachusetts as well as before many State Administrative Agencies.  He is also a member of numerous Bar Associations.

 

In addition to Attorney Jaikes’ private practice where he concentrates in litigation, personal injury, consumer law, contract law, wills, trusts, real estate and landlord/tenant law, Attorney Jaikes is also employed by the Law Department in the City of New Bedford as an Assistant City Solicitor.  Eric Jaikes is also a former adjunct professor at U Mass Dartmouth School of Law and an arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association.

 

Community service is important to Attorney Jaikes and he has provided pro bono legal services and served on the Board of Directors of a number of organizations including his Church, Boy Scouts, an animal sanctuary, a railroad museum and the Legal Center for Non-Profits.  He has resided in New Bedford since 1989.

Cynthia Dubois

Cynthia Dubois is Attorney Jaikes’ administrative assistant/paralegal.  Ms. Dubois holds a paralegal studies degree from Fisher College and has over 30 years of experience in the legal field.  Prior to employment with the Law Offices of Eric Jaikes, Ms. Dubois worked for the Westport Planning Board, various Westport lawyers and for the Dartmouth law firm of Burke, Smith & Jaikes, P.C.
